Due to the unprecedented success of all of the IPSF National Competitions, we have been overwhelmed by the number of applications expected this year for World Pole Championships 2018. Many
competitions have double and even tripled in participation. With this in mind, we would like to announce some changes to the qualifying criteria and the dates for the Worlds in order to help us
manage the number of Elite athletes attending this event:
- The first placed athlete in every elite category and division will automatically qualify for the World Pole Championships 2018.
- The second placed athlete would have to meet a minimum score requirement in order to qualify for the World Pole Championships 2018. This score is dependent on whether the athlete is in one of the
Established categories (highly subscribed and/or included for more than three years) or the Developing categories (Evolving categories or new categories under three years). Athletes in the
Established categories must achieve a minimum score of 25 points to qualify, while athletes in the Developing categories must achieve a minimum score of 20 points. This only applies to Pole
Sports.
Established categories are as follows:
Developing categories are as follows:
- - Doubles Youth (Novice, Junior and Youth Mixed)
- - Masters 50+ (both Men and Women)
