IPSF Membership

Ranging from National Federations to individual memberships, the IPSF offers a membership account to suit everyone. There are many benefits to being a member with us including discounts on tickets for the WPSC as well as advice and support in key areas such as competitions, anti-doping and insurances. As a member of the IPSF you are also eligible to vote on certain issues and play a significant part in shaping the Federation for the future of International Pole Sports. As an instructor, athlete and coach we will support your development in the discipline of pole sports and provide support for national and international competition. Please read the guidelines for more detailed information on the criteria required for each membership category. Your membership fee is annual.

Individuals
Pole Sports Enthusiast - £10 Annually

A Pole Sports Enthusiast membership is for someone who wishes to have a personal membership to receive the benefits available as a supporter of pole sports whether you pole or not.
Benefits
- 10% discount on WPSC tickets
- 10% discount on tickets for your National Competition in your country
- Voting rights on several committee issues throughout the year
- Entry to several IPSF/WPSC online competitions throughout the year
- Welcome pack
- Monthly members newsletter
- Discounts for goods in affiliated pole businesses
Criteria required for individual membership
- Completed membership form
- £10 membership fee in GBP
- 2 x photographs – head shot
Pole Instructor - £15 Annually

This membership is for instructors to show they are working within the guidelines for health and safety, keep up with continuing professional development to be recognised or accredited as an instructor by the IPSF in accordance with SportAccord requirements. (See schools memberships for instructors who are part of a school membership).
Benefits – the same as individuals plus:
- 10% discount on all IPSF courses
- Support with anti-doping expectations
- Advice about insurances
- Recognition and accreditation by the IPSF
- Listing on the IPSF website
Criteria required for an Instructor membership
- Completed membership form
- £15 membership fee in GBP
- 2x photographs – head shot
- Biography of pole sports history
- Evidence of a nationally recognised sports or fitness qualification that has included physiology and anatomy
- Evidence of a course undertaken in pole sports/dance that is accredited nationally
- Evidence of insurance to cover public liability and professional indemnity with pole sports or dance specifically covered.
Coaches - £20 Annually

This membership enables coaches to promote themselves as being of a high enough calibre within the sporting industry to work within the pole sports industry in accordance with expectations from SportAccord and the Olympic Committee. You will be supported to continuously improve your coaching skills and ways in which to best support athletes at IPSF competitions; both nationally and internationally.
Benefits – the same as instructors plus:
- Eligibility to attend national and international IPSF competitions as the official coach with your athletes.
- 20% discount on IPSF coaching courses
- 10% discount on IPSF judges training courses
Criteria required for a Coach membership
- Completed membership form including signing up to the WADA code
- £20 membership fee in GBP
- 2 x photographs – head shot
- Biography of sporting history
- Evidence of a nationally recognised sports or fitness qualification that has included physiology and anatomy
- Evidence of insurance to cover public liability and professional indemnity with pole sports or dance specifically covered.
Athletes - £15 Annually

This membership is for athletes who wish to register with the IPSF to show they support the discipline of pole sports and adhere to sporting expectations laid down by the International Olympic Committee and SportAccord. This includes signing up to the WADA code and anti-doping regulations which can be legally enforced. As athletes you will be supported in many ways; we will ensure that standards and conditions in competitions are raised to the highest levels, we will continue to promote a fair and equal scoring and judging system that is consistent around the world and we will keep pushing forward to have your achievements recognised in world games and championships.
Benefits – the same as individuals plus:
- 20% discount on IPSF athletes courses
- 10% discount on IPSF judges training courses
- Support with anti-doping expectations
- Advice about insurances
- Listing on the IPSF website
- Entry on the world ranking status
Criteria required for an athlete’s membership
- Completed membership form
- £15 membership fee in GBP
- 2 x photographs – head shot
- Biography of pole sporting history
Organisations
Schools and clubs - £25 Annually

A schools membership will have to adhere to strict requirements in accordance with ‘pole sports’. You are also likely to have a membership with your National Federation. You will get many benefits and lots of support for your school. To be a school with IPSF membership will show you have the highest credentials in the discipline of pole sports in your training environment and for each of your instructors. You school does not have to only teach pole sports, just show how you incorporate the discipline into your schedule and how you support athletes to reach their full potential should they choose pole sports.

Criteria required for a school membership
- Completed membership form
- £25 membership fee in GBP
- All instructors to be registered with IPSF (discount available)
- Full insurance for public liability and professional indemnity
- Summary of school history and current classes
Regional Organisations - £30 annually
A regional organisation membership will have to adhere to strict requirements in accordance with ‘pole sports’. You are likely to be a regional pole sports federation and also have a membership with your National Federation. You will get many benefits and lots of support for your organisation. You will need to show how you are supporting schools, clubs, instructors and individual pole sports supporters in your region.
Benefits – the same as schools/clubs plus:
- Committee members to have voting rights on certain IPSF/WPSC issues
- Discounts on hosting training courses
Criteria required for a regional organisation membership
- Completed membership form
- £30 membership fee in GBP
- Summary of organisation history
- Report of future organisation plans for pole sports in your region
Industry Related Businesses - £35 annually
This membership is for businesses who wish to have certain benefits available to them as an IPSF member and the facility to be promoted to our other members by offering a discount to them when they make purchases.

World Pole Sports Championships
We are proud to anounce that the dates for the WPSC 2014 have been confirmed. The championships will be held on 19th and 20th July York Hall, Bethnal Green, London.
