Competition Recognition
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING WAY THAT COMPETITIONS ARE CURRENTLY ACCREDITED AND SEND IN YOUR COMMENTS AS TO ANY CHANGES YOU BELIEVE SHOULD BE MADE TO info@polesports.org
The constitution will be amended in February to include the new structure and there will be a discussion of Competition Accreditation at the industry meeting being held in February.

The IPSF Competition Event Recognition Programme seeks to accomplish two things:
1) Recognise regional events that are producing Pole Athletes. The level of event recognition is based on the level of entrant criteria fairness, level of recognition of event judging and the ethics of the competition as a whole. The IPSF seeks to improve and standardise the level of competition across the world making competitions more professional and safe.
2) Identify athletes that may participate in the IPSF World Pole Sport Championships. This is accomplished through
the assignment of “IPSF Competition Credit” for those who place in the top three of the event. Furthermore, the amount of corresponding credit is based on the level of the event recognition. The more
the event and the competition seek to abide by commonly accepted criteria for competitions, more credit is possible for the athlete.
If you would like your competition recognised please download the form and complete it. The £75 fee is currently being waived until 2014. All competitions that apply, no matter which level will be
eligible for three places at the WPSC2013. All competitions currently not accredited with the IPSF are only eligible for two places. Many athletes missed out on a place in the World Pole Sports
Championship as they were unable to qualify for the top two.
