Level 1 Coach

The Level One Assistant Coach assists a Level 2 Coach or higher in running a Pole Sports session. A Level One Assistant Coach is NOT qualified to run or lead sessions alone; the IPSF may remove his or her coaching license if this occurs.

He/she will be expected to assist in teaching the basic principles and exercises of Pole Sports safely and accurately with the correct approach to training. This qualification is the first of the coaching qualifications and enables the individual to begin assisting to gain the experience and confidence needed in order to become a Level 2 Full Coach.

To become a Level One Assistant Coach, the candidate must attend and complete the 1st4Sport Level One Certificate in Coaching Pole Sports (EPIC) course. The candidate must also have a full up to date DBS check. It is recommended, but not required, that regular training sessions with an EPIC Level 2 coach take place if possible.

The candidate can reserve a space on the next available Assessment Course.

When accepted on to the Assessment Course, the candidate will receive the documents outlining what the assessment consists of, and what will constitutes a pass mark for the Level One Assistant Coach qualification.
